The board is working on projects

So far we’ve pressure-washed all the sidewalks, replaced the fencing between Meadowglen and Indigo Springs, and fixed/repaired most of the chimney caps on the property. We still have a few upcoming projects, such as asphalt repair and stenciling of the parking lot areas, attic inspections, and dryer vent cleaning.

Four Open Board Positions

For our upcoming 2024 Annual Meeting, there are 4 open board positions that will need to be filled. If you’re interested in joining the board, please attend the Annual Meeting on Janurary 15th, 2024.

Electric Vehicles

Before Meadowglen residents consider buying an electric vehicle, please be aware that the electrical infrastructure that provides power to the garages and outdoor lighting, is not well equipped to handle the loads necessary to charge EVs. At best EV owners can charge their vehicle at level 1 (basic 120v/15amp outlet), which can take upwards of 12 hours to reach 100% battery. However, level 1 charging is best used on a dedicated circuit, which the garages don’t have. Therefore charging electric vehicles in unit garages is not recommended. If you have any further questions about EV charging, please contact the board of directors.

Summer work is about to get started

The Board of Directors has put out several bids for work on the property. Work includes fixes to our storm drainage system, fences along the front and back of the complex, and the repair of several chimneys. The start of some of these projects has taken longer than expected due to the difficulty in finding contractors willing or able to do the work. But the board is actively looking at multiple contractors to get the work done.

Thank you to all that were able to make this evening’s Annual HOA Meeting. With that being said I am happy to announce the results of the board elections, and their assistants. Board President: Pat Wells #36, Vice President: Margie Peterson #68, Treasurer: Max Pierce #20, Secretary: Catie Baldridge #58, General Member: Holly Diamond #59.

Board Meeting via Zoom

Due to Washington State’s recommendation of social distancing during the current coronavirus pandemic, all board meetings will be held remotely using Zoom or a similar video chat program until further notice. If there are any issues or questions you wish to bring to the board, please reach out to them via email. Thank you.

Annual Meeting

At this year’s annual meeting, both Pam Wells and Julie Pock were reelected to the MGHOA Board of Directors. Max Peirce was also elected the Board of Directors and will be taking over for Gene Peterson, who recently stepped down.

Special Assessment Update II

Our Special Assessment is now over 75% funded. However, the Board has run into some scheduling issues with the Achten’s, our roofing company.
With more cold raining weather approaching, there’s a strong likely-hood that the rest of the roof replacements will have to be put off until early next year when the weather is more favorable.

Special Assessment Update

Thank you to all the homeowners who have already either paid in full or paid a significant amount of their 2019-20 Special Assessment. So far the HOA has received over 55% of the funds needed to replace all the roofs. Several roofs have already been replaced, and more buildings are currently being scheduled for work.

New Board Member

Please welcome Catie Baldridge from Unit #59 as our newest member to the HOA Board of Directors. She was nominated and voted in by the majority at our most recent annual meeting. Catie will be replacing Jennifer Johnson who stepped in temporary as Board Secretary this past summer.
